Rosa Young Lycidas ('Ausvibrant'), early June. A modern rose from David Austin, 2008. The flowers are a blend of very deep magenta, pink and red – the outer petals tending towards light purple – in contrast to their silvery outer surfaces. Named for the 400th anniversary of the birth of the poet John Milton, author of the poem ‘Lycidas’.
