Pear 'Glou Morceau', mid August. A winter pear first bred in Belgium in the 18th century. Large fruits with a fine flavour and texture. Needs warmth and sun to develop fully. Stored carefully, should keep until early January. Sometimes also known as Beurré d'Hardenpont or Hardenponts Winter Butterbirne.
