Roscoea cautleyoides 'Jeffrey Thomas', late May. A hardy tuberous perennial from the ginger family. 'Jeffrey Thomas' is a form selected for its particularly large lip, which opens primrose yellow and fades to cream, against a deeper yellow hood, giving the flower a subtly bicoloured effect.
