Bracteantha bracteata 'Dargan Hill Monarch' (syn. Xerochrysum bracteatum), mid September. Commonly known as Golden everlasting or Strawflower. A perennial shrub with grey-green foliage and large golden-yellow flowers. A natural form collected just inland from Cunninghams Gap in Southern Queensland in 1961, and registered in 1977.
