Apple 'Peasgood's Nonsuch', mid September. A large apple that when ripe is crisp, juicy, and refreshing and can be eaten raw, but also cooks well. First raised by Mrs Peasgood in Lincolnshire and acclaimed by the RHS in 1872 as “one of the most handsome apples in cultivation”. It certainly is.
