Tomato 'Plumpton King', mid September. A vigorous cordon variety for growing indoors or outdoors, orginally bred at Plumpton Agricultural College in East Sussex during the 1940s. It was first mentioned in "Soft Fruit Growing for the Amateur" published by Penguin Books in 1942 but was eventually lost from cultivation in the UK. After a packet of seeds was discovered at Garden Organic, It was reintroduced by Plumpton College in 2015.
