Blossom of Apple 'Hambledon Deux Ans', late April. An old English culinary apple from Hambledon in Hampshire, about 1750. "In c19th reputedly every Hants garden had tree of 'Deusans'. Also grown countrywide in gardens; for market in Kent and favourite with Sheffield fruiterers. Still found in old Hants, Sussex gardens." ('The New Book of Apples' by Joan Morgan and Alison Richards)
